The Cliff Avril Family Foundation mission is to support the educational and health needs of youth locally and abroad through representation, exposure and education.
CAFF empowers youth through mentorship, scholarships and youth football camps. Through these programs and community partnerships, CAFF has served youth in the Pacific Northwest, Clay County (Florida), Mississippi, and Haiti.
After Hurricane Matthew, Cliff pledged one home in Haiti for every sack he recorded during the 2016 season—and delivered, funding 12 safe, permanent homes. With the support of a local company, this pledge was matched and a total of 24 homes were built.
With support from donors and partners, CAFF invests in youth across Seattle, Jacksonville and Haiti – backing medical research, mentorship and scholarships in the U.S. and mobile health clinics, education and housing projects abroad.
Founded in 2014 by Seattle Seahawks Legend and Super Bowl Champion Cliff Avril, the Cliff Avril Family Foundation was born from personal loss and a passion for giving back. Inspired by the passing of his grandmother and his mother’s diabetes diagnosis, Cliff established the foundation to promote healthier communities and create opportunities for youth to thrive.
Since its inception, the foundation has positively impacted communities locally and around the world through health and wellness initiatives, educational programs, scholarships, mentorship, youth development, and strategic partnerships. Guided by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, the Cliff Avril Family Foundation remains committed to empowering the next generation and creating lasting change through service, education, and community investment.
